COLLIN HESLOP (JUDAS)
Collin has spent some years singing with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society and has been a singer in a number of rock bands and as a worship leader in the local Church community. He has taken lead roles in Balaklava Community Arts: eg. The Modern Major General in Pirates of Penzance. Collin has had a strong desire to be part of the great musical, Jesus Christ Superstar. He has a strong Christian faith and is devoted to his wife and children, he loves music with a passion, and gives great hugs!


  JAMIE JEWELL (JESUS and CHOREOGRAPHER)
Originally from Western Australia, Jamie has been performing as a dancer and singer for many years. He studied at V.C.A. and has performed with the W.A. Theatre Company, Victorian State Opera, Australian Opera, the South East Asian-Australian Tour of Cats, Independent Dance Works in New South Wales, Baz Luhrmans Moulin Rouge, the Olympics 2000-live sites and most recently choreographed Chicago for Mayfair Theatre in Adelaide earlier this year. Jamie is currently a Freelance Dancer, Dance Teacher and Choreographer.

  ELIZA MOULTON (MARY MAGDALENE - 2nd, 3rd and 4th performances)
Through contact with the Balaklava community Eliza has seen many B.C.A. productions, waiting for the right one to come along and seizing the opportunity to be a part of it. Past theatre experience includes; Molly in Annie 1990, Tuffazel in Dick Whittington 1992, Keith Michelle Theatre 1997, ’98, ’99 and 2000, a solo artist in the Variety Club Bash Concert in 1999, Rotary Combined Concert 2002 at Fort Largs. Eliza is currently studying 2nd year Occupational Therapy at the University of Sth. Aust. and is involved in a variety of singing performances across Adelaide.

  DANIELLE OUTRAM (MARY MAGDALENE - 1st performance)
Danielle’s family moved to Balaklava when she was three years old. She has been a participant in Balaklava Eisteddfods and Balaklava High School music Concerts as well as a number of B.C.A. productions. She also sang in the B’Naturals when they were guest artists at the Festival of Music at the Adelaide Festival Theatre. Danielle is a volunteer ambulance officer

STEVE GUY (CAIAPHAS, HIGH PRIEST)
Born in Adelaide Steve has since lived in Gawler, Riverton, Yankalilla and now Balaklava. Steve enjoys competing in Football Club "No Talent Quests". His interests are football, family, horticulture and golf.

MARK BRANSON (PILATE)
Mark, who has a Bachelor of Applied Science, is currently the manager of the family farm at Stockport, where he was brought up. He is a member of the Adelaide Plains Male Voice Choir where he has been an occasional Soloist. He has been a participant in the Balaklava Eisteddfod in Open Vocal and has also been involved in the stage management of Balaklava High School concerts and was a German Captain in “The Sound of Music” production at Balaklava. Mark has sung at many fundraisers in Adelaide and Long Plains. This is his first primary role in a production and he is looking forward to this challenge.


GEOFF LESTER (PETER)
Geoff is in his last year of schooling at Balaklava where he has been since reception. He has numerous public speaking, performing and singing awards. Since joining B.C.A. in 1992 he has been involved in with their productions every year. His outdoor activities include flying, hockey, swimming, soccer and refereeing basketball.

PAUL PAULENAS (HEROD)
Paul is a secondary school drama teacher and a performance skills tutor for Actors Ink in Adelaide. He has directed over thirty productions, including a number of memorable shows for Balaklava Community Arts, including The Sound of Music; My Fair Lady and Oklahoma. Most recently, he has appeared for BCA as Mr Bumble in Oliver! and Casper in the Royal Nativity. Paul is also the resident character make up specialist and was awarded a life membership of the company in 2000.

HEATHER CRAWFORD (MAID, by the Fire)
Heather was born in Clare and brought up in Balaklava and is currently finishing year 12 at high school. Heather has been part of Community Arts since 1996 and has also performed in Primary and High School productions as well as competing in the singing and drama sections of several Balaklava and Adelaide Eisteddfods. Heather is a member of the Balaklava High Schools vocal group, Mosaic, and her main interests are theatre, literature, film, music, history and drama.
MARTY BRICE (ROMAN GUARD - Leader)
Marty has lived and taught in Balaklava for over twenty years. He has been involved in almost every BCA production since the start, playing mainly villains (Bill Sykes - Oliver, Jud Fry - Oklahoma , Zoltan Karpanthy - My Fair Lady) and cowards (Lion - Wizard of Oz). Some of Marty's interests are tennis, long distance running and performing on stage.
